Acne scars are a bit of a double jeopardy. First, we suffer from having imperfections on the face. This leads in particular to complexes and a drop in self-esteem. Then, we find ourselves marked by microtraumas just as painful as the imperfections. There are even situations where the scar takes longer to resorb than the pimple.Hollows, scabs, spots, acne leaves traces and we don't teach you anything by telling you that crushing the pimples does not help. We will explain why next. But to the question "Can acne scars disappear?" we can answer yes, fortunately, in the majority of cases. A diligent routine with the right products at the right time can help you make them go away. They will then only remain a bad memory in your head, but no longer on your face. Forms of acne, types of scars and above all solutions, we help you understand what is happening and above all what to do to move forward. You can achieve your dream: perfect, harmonious and regenerated skin, without scars. Let's do this !

There are several types of buttons. Depending on their nature, they cause different marks that are more or less visible and more or less deep.
• Microcysts and closed comedones
More commonly known as "whiteheads", these are the most common blemishes. They are due to an accumulation of sebum in the seborrhoeic duct.
For various reasons, stagnant sebum cannot be evacuated to the surface of the skin. This obstruction creates tiny bumps. They may never react and resolve on their own, but they may also become slightly inflamed and develop into whiteheads. These pimples can break through naturally without necessarily leaving any visible lesions, such as acne scars.
On the other hand, if they are stimulated by touching them, they can grow and turn into larger and more remarkable pimples: pustules (definition below). It's quite a pity since in general, they are not red and remain all the same very discreet at the origin.
• Blackheads or open comedones
Unlike the previous one, there is no obstruction on the surface of the skin. The accumulation of sebum in the canal can be evacuated to the outside. Sebum oxidizes on contact with air: this is what gives this blackened appearance. They can degenerate into papules or pustules (definitions below).
The seborrheic duct being open, it rubs shoulders with external bacteria. Since the hands are often carriers of various germs, piercing is a very bad idea on blackheads.
• Papules
These are inflamed imperfections. They are bulging, red and painful. Even by making them up, they are visible because they are more in relief than the previous ones. They are therefore larger than microcysts and comedones.
The papules sometimes develop without there being any original pimples. They sign the presence of an opportune bacterium which feeds on the accumulation of sebum.
We often tend to "play" with them by trying to drill them. At first, nothing comes out of this button, except transparent liquid. Unfortunately, the more the pimple is stimulated, the more it becomes infected and grows on the surface with the risk of migrating to the pustule and promoting the appearance of acne scars.
• Pustules
A pustule is the result of a severely inflamed papule. The latter generates the appearance of the pustule with a transparent or yellow liquid on the head. They give a grainy appearance to the skin.
The latter is then completely bruised. These are the most visible cases both in the crisis phase, but also in healing.
If the skin fails to evacuate fluid and sebum, the infection can migrate to the inner layers. The bumps are then all the more pronounced. They can become a nodule whose size extends up to 5mm. We begin to reach forms of severe acne at this stage, likely to create acne scars. It is obviously imperative to consult.
Types of scars caused by acne
After this topo, we understand how much the skin is molested by acne. The cells of the epidermis are constantly solicited with sometimes little possible healing time. This creates a concentration of microlesions and scarring reactions.
Let's review the different types of acne-induced scars.
• Pigmented scars
They are often proof that there has been inflammation and potentially a slight scab on healing. During this phase, the pigmentation of the skin can malfunction. We are talking about red traces, possibly white or even brownish. The brown color of these scars is all the more important if you have naturally tanned or black skin.
So yes, if you tend to fiddle with your pimples, you may have made the problem worse. But we are not going to flog each other. We are just going to draw the right conclusions, namely not to pop the pimples when they are in the pushing phase to avoid acne scars.
• Atrophic scars
These acne scars come from bigger and deeper imperfections as previously explained. The skin has "burst" in different places, the upper layer of the epidermis may even be gone if you have used products that are too aggressive. Come to think of it, you may even have bled…
On the face, there is a grid or small holes, often on the hollow parts such as the cheeks or the temples.
The skin has failed to reconstitute itself, which can contribute to accentuating the presence of acne scars, we even speak of loss of cellular information. Don't forget that our Immunox® patent has demonstrated real effectiveness on mitochondrial DNA. Birch Sap has a regenerating action on collagen synthesis.
• Hypertrophic scars
Hypertrophy is the expression of greater tissue production. In the case of acne scarring, the tissue may be making too much collagen. This induces raised acne scars with a slightly fibrous appearance.
In this specific case and depending on the personal inconvenience caused, surgical interventions may be proposed by health professionals.
Saeve and acne scars
There are two phases of treatment when it comes to acne-related issues. Often, we will focus our attention on the first phase: the acne crisis . It is very often the aesthetic aspect and the drop in self-confidence that encourage us to react.
But what about the healing phase ? And to go to the end of the process, what about skin regeneration? Even if the redness and acne reactions are calmed, the skin needs help to get better.
What are the basic tips?
• Watch out for the sun
Skin damaged by imperfections such as acne is more fragile , it is refined on the surface. UV rays interfere with the production of collagen. They also induce a modification of cellular DNA. So let's not add more difficulty to the skin to rebuild itself.
Also, a small crust will tend to brown in the sun. This can lead to pigment spots.
• Adapt your skin care
Stop using purifying products. If you are a subscriber to aggressive treatments such as retinoids and benzoate peroxide, stop the carnage immediately! You are only digging into the problem both literally and figuratively.
Products that are too drying cause dehydration. It is counterproductive since the skin will secrete sebum to protect itself. You risk creating new acne pimples.
We have developed two distinct ranges to accompany the two aforementioned phases.
